Joan Marie Davey, 92, of Brick Township, died peacefully on January 13, 2024. Born and raised in Kearny, she lived in Forked River and Lakewood before moving to Brick Township 7 years ago. Joan was employed in sales and worked for many years at Bamberger’s in Wayne and then retired from Macy’s in Toms River. She was very devoted to her family, always enjoying their company and functions. Joan was an avid bingo player who enjoyed playing near and far. Ms. Davey was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Carolyn Davey, and by her two siblings, Edward (Bud) Davey and Constance (Connie) Clark.

Surviving are two sisters, Irene McCullough and Elizabeth King. Also, fifty-three nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews.

A Memorial Gathering for relatives and friends will be held on Sunday, January 21st, from 2pm to 4pm, with a Prayer Service at 3:30pm, at the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan’s memory to your favorite charity would be appreciated.
