James “Jim” T. McNamara, age 65, passed away suddenly on July 25, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. Jim was born to Jane and James J. McNamara on June 28, 1958 in Newark, New Jersey. Jim was raised in the Bayville area and was a graduate of Central Regional High School class of 1976.
Jim started working for McDonald’s where he was eventually promoted to General Manager and forged relationships he will forever cherish. McDonald’s gave him lifelong friends, his wife, and so much more! His most recent career was with Aerus Electrolux as a Salesman.
To know Jim was to love him. He enjoyed sports and was an avid New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboy, and New Jersey Devils fan. On his free time, one could find him watching sports on TV with his son, playing Tetris, or tossing a frisbee to his dog Buster. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Fat Boy Motorcycle. Jim always took pride in his lawn and was always proud when someone recognized and complimented it. Jim’s pride and joy was his family. He was happiest surrounded by his kids, grandkids, and wife watching TV, goofing around, drinking Bromley Tea, or having family dinner. Jim’s sense of humor is one that cannot be matched.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Tina, and their three adoring children Kelly, Courtney, Colin, Son-in-law Keith, and his two loving grandchildren Timmy and Lily; his sister Peggy; brother Patrick (Gladys) McNamara; sister Laura (John) Skidmore; Many nieces and nephews; in-laws; and dearly loved family members and close friends.
