James E Donavan

James Donovan 86,  of  Bayville NJ  passed away on August 24, 2023. Born in  Bronx NY he lived in Bronx NY, South Weymouth , Massachusetts before moving to Bayville.  He joined the Christian Brothers where he taught for 11 years. James proudly served his country in the Navy.  He was a journalist for 4 years on the aircraft carrier USS WASP and the USS Intrepid. After the Navy James moved to South Weymouth, Massachusetts.  James then taught at Quincy College before retiring. James then moved to Bayville where he resided for 21 years.

He is Survived by his wife Joyce, and he is predeceased by his daughter Christine. Also Surviving are 2 sons, Douglas and William,  2 grandchildren, and 3 sisters and his brother.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday August 29, 2023 9:30 to 11:30, with a prayer service11:00am, at Mastapeter Memorial Home 270 Atlantic City Blvd. Bayville, NJ. Burial will follow to Brig.Gen.Wm.,C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Wrightstown NJ.
