Jacob "Jake" Novaro, 88, of Waretown, NJ passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025.

He was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ. Jake was in the Navy Reserves from 1954 to 1962 and owned his own business in Elizabeth before going to work for Verizon until his retirement in 2003 . He and his wife Arlene moved to North Brunswick, NJ to raise their family and later settled in Waretown, NJ. He was married to his loving wife Arlene for 63 years until her passing earlier this year. Jake loved cars (especially classics) and boats and was always happy car shopping. He was known for being able to fix anything and those who knew him well would say "If Jake can't fix it, it ain't broke”.

Jake was predeceased by his wife Arlene, his son Leonard, and his parents Leonard and Catherine. 

Jake is survived by his daughter Tracy Mastroly, son-in-law Anthony Mastroly, beloved grandson Jacob Mastroly, and sister Carmen Goble.
 
Visiting hours for friends and relatives will be offered on Sunday June 1, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM, at  Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville.
