Irene “SanGiacomo” Ferlise, 79, of Bayville, died on August 5, 2024. Born at home in Orange, she was raised there then when married, she lived in Hackensack and in Roseland before retiring to Bayville in 2000. Mrs. Ferlise had been employed with AT&T in Bloomfield for over 20 years before retiring. Irene enjoyed traveling, especially her trips to Italy. She was a devoted homemaker and a dedicated Republican. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary SanGiacomo, her brother John, nephew Frankie Viturello and his father Frank Viturello.
Surviving is her devoted husband of 43 years, Salvatore; three children, Salvatore Jr., and his wife Josephine, Victoria and her husband Philip, and Maria and her husband Carmine; her grandchildren; Craig, Phillip, Nicole and husband Raymond, Danielle and Salvatore III, Amanda, Joanna, Christina, Ryan and his wife Ceci and Amanda and her husband Matthew, three great grandchildren; Serenity, Matthew, and Lucia, and her sister; Elaine Viturello, and her children, niece; Donna and her husband Mike, great niece; Taylor, great nephew; Michael and his wife Olivia. Also survived by her brother-in-law Victor Ferlise,(esq.) and his wife Barbara and their children, Dr. Victor Ferlise and his wife Denise, and Michael Ferlise,(esq.) and many other nieces, nephews and many friends..
Viewing hours will be August 8th, 2024 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm, at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ 08721. Funeral Friday, August 9th at 9:30am at the funeral home before celebrating a Mass at 11:00am at St. Barnabas Church, 33 Woodland Rd., Bayville. A burial will follow at St Joseph's Cemetery, 62 Cedar Grove Rd., Toms River.
