Howard L. Jacob III, 80 of Bayville, NJ passed away on June 13, 2026. Born in Elizabeth, NJ and raised in Cranford. He graduated from Cranford High School in 1964, and from Monmouth University in 1968, where he was a member of KBS Fraternity. He then graduated and received a Law degree from Suffolk Law School in Boston in 1971, and later earned a master of law degree from New York University of which he was very proud. He worked as a lawyer for the Family Court System of Brooklyn, NY and lived for several years in Brooklyn Heights with his wife Christine. They moved to Bayville where he started his own company known as Arrow Abstract LLC, located in Toms River, NJ for many years and never retired. 

Howard was a marathon distance runner and ran two times in the New York City Marathon. He loved boating on Barnegat Bay and being on Long Beach Island with his nieces and nephews. He was active in the Berkeley Township youth league sports, volunteering as coach for little league baseball and basketball. He also loved his family trips to Disney with his son and his grandchildren (who called him Pa).

He was very proud of his son, David, and watching him grow as a father. He often said, “It took a boy to make a man out of me”. 

Surviving is his wife of 57 years Christine (GiGi), his devoted son David Jacob along with his wife Gabriella, his cherished grandchildren - Hailey, Nicholas, and Olivia Charlotte - and his dog Lucy. He is survived also by his brother Bill Jacob and his wife Kathy. 

Visiting hours for family and friends will be offered on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 5:00-8:00pm, with a Prayer Service at 7:30pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd, Bayville, NJ 8721.
