Fred Jay Hausvater

Fred J. Hausvater, 71, of Bayville, NJ passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, with his family by his side. Born in Toms River, NJ and he lived his whole life in Bayville, NJ. Fred worked for the Ocean County Bridge Department for 25 years before retiring. Mr. Hausvater proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He was a member of the Toms River Jaycee’s and was a coach for Berkeley Little League. Mr. Hausvater was a Cub Master for Pack 27 and a Scout Master for Troop 83 both of Bayville, for many years.  

Mr. Hausvater is survived by his wife Helene Hausvater, three sons, Joe Hausvater, David Hausvater and his wife Mi, and Philip Hausvater and his fiancé Maria Massa, one grandchild Aiden Hausvater, three siblings, Ruth Hausvater, Paul Hausvater and Harvey Hausvater and his wife Ruth, and many nieces and nephews.  

A Memorial Service for family and friends will be on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 4:00-7:00pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ 08721, along with Military Honors at 6:45pm.
