Frances “Corcione” Vardalis, 93, of Toms River, died peacefully at home with her loving daughters at her bedside. Born and raised in Kenilworth, she lived in Westfield and Mansfield for many years before recently moving to Toms River. Mrs. Vardalis was an Accounting Secretary for Cosmair Cosmetic Company in Clark for over 35 years before retiring. Frances was very devoted to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved cooking for family and many friends that visited. She also enjoyed crocheting and attending church services. Frances was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Alfred and by her four brothers, Joseph, James, Louis and Frank.
Surviving are her two daughters, Kerry Kurz and Karen Hatze and her husband George; five grandchildren, Taylor, Nicholas, Matthew, Alexa and Christopher. Also surviving are four great grandchildren, Austin, Ayden, Azlynn and Yara and her sister Anna Alicea.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, Jun 8th, from 8:30am to 10:30am in the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. Funeral Mass will follow at 11am in St. Barnabas Church, 33 Woodland Road, Bayville. Burial will be 1pm at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frances’s memory to: your local Humane Society or to: Alzheimer Foundation, (alzfdn.org), would be appreciated.
