Eleanor “Koch” Dominguez, of Bayville, affectionately known as Ellie and Sis, died peacefully on July 1, 2022, with her loving family at her side. She was 88 years young. Born in Elizabeth, she has been a resident of Bayville for the past 50 years. Mrs. Dominguez was employed in the food service industry. She worked at Richard’s Sub World and Delicatessen in Bayville for many years. She also owned and operated a diner in North Jersey and worked as a waitress at various restaurants. Ellie was very involved in her community and loved to help people. She had served as a Committee Woman for Berkeley Township. Also, she was very active in the Bayville Elks Lodge # 2394, Ladies Auxiliary, Past President of the Democratic Club, the Bayville Historical Society and the Berkeley/Lacey Lions Club. Ellie also loved to travel, shop and take her trips to A/C. She had been predeceased by her husband Frank “Poncho” Dominguez in 1996.
Surviving are her seven children, and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and extended family members and many loving friends.
Visiting hours will be offered on Wednesday, July 6th, from 4pm to 6pm, with a Prayer Service at 5:30pm, in the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eleanor’s memory to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org), would be appreciated.
