Dorothy Schumm

Dorothy Schumm, 78, of Bayville passed away on June 9, 2026. Born in Passaic, NJ and lived in Bayville for 49 years.  Dorothy worked as a Financial Analyst on the F-18 program at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, in Lakehurst.  

Dorothy was an avid gardener that enjoyed sharing her sweet 100’s cherry tomatoes with all the neighbors and friends. She loved to crochet blankets, loved living by the water, and most of all going to North Myrtle Beach with the family and playing miniature golf with her grandson. 

Mrs. Schumm is predeceased by her husband Leo, and her two sisters; Beverly Miriana and Joyce Tambe, Surviving is her loving son; Brian Schumm, her cherished grandson; Brendan Schumm, nephew; Arthur Miriana, and niece; Michelle Miriana. 

Viewing for family and friends will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 8:30-10:30am at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00am at St. Barnabas Church, 33 Woodland Rd., Bayville.
