Dolores “Vadeika” Sisia, 86, of Brick, passed away peacefully at her home which she loved on the lake, on September 1, 2023. Born and raised in Hillside, she then moved to Brick many years ago. She was a proud Valedictorian graduate of Hillside High School. She then graduated from Gibbs Business School for Women in New York City. Dolores was a gifted artist and member of the Ocean County Artist Guild of Island Heights for many years. She also was a true connoisseur of fine wine and food. After marrying her best friend and the love of her life Ronald, they traveled the world together and summered every year in Hawaii. She was a little eccentric and quirky, but she was the most gracious and loving family member.
Surviving are her sister-in-laws; Frances Sisia, Jeanette Vadeika and Elissa Clausnitzer. Her nieces and nephews; Toni Sisia-Verissimo, Joe Sisia, Teri Sisia, Erik Vadeika, Laura Padula, Carlene Wood, Robert Clausnitzer, Raymond Clausnitzer and many loving friends. Mrs. Sisia was predeceased by her loving husband Ron in February of 2022. Also, by her devoted parents, Anthony and Mary Vadeika and her brother Edward.
She was affectionately known as Aunt Dolly and was especially proud of her ancestral heritage of Lithuania. She and Ron are both dearly missed by all who loved them.
A graveside service will be offered on Saturday, Sept. 9th, at 11am at St. Joseph Cemetery, 62 Cedar Grove Road, Toms River 08753. Mastapeter Memorial Home in Bayville is in charge of arrangements.
