Dilys R Jones

Dilys “Dee” Jones, 84, of Forked River passed away on October 1, 2023. Born and raised in Essex, England. She moved to America in 1968. She proudly became a U.S. citizen in 1992. She lived several years in Kearny, NJ, and Bayville as well as various places across the U.S. Dilys lived 20 years in Harrisburg, IL. before settling in Forked River. She was employed as a waitress and a CNA in Illinois for many years before retiring.

Mrs. Jones is predeceased by her husband, Eric Jones in 1985, her brother, Ronald Colbourn, and surviving is her brother, Ivor Colbourn and wife Anna.

Surviving are five children, Glenn Jones, Mark Jones, Erica Jones, Dorothy Jones and husband Joseph Tasco, and Laura Perricone and husband Michael. Along with 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one on the way. Also surviving are many extended family and friends from England and America.

There will be a viewing on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 10am-12pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd, Bayville, NJ 08721 with a burial at Bayville Cemetery immediately following at 12:15.
