Decon Guy Christian Rasmussen Obituary

Guy Christian Rasmussen, 79, of Beachwood, passed away on June 18, 2026. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Guy lived a life defined by faith, service, and love for his family.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Marilyn Rasmussen, and his brothers, Daniel Rasmussen and Michael Rasmussen.


Guy is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Diane Rasmussen. He was a devoted father to Robyn Adams (Raymond), Daniel Rasmussen (Jason Boyd), and Jordan Rasmussen (Jonathan Mitchell-Rasmussen). He is also survived by his brother John Rasmussen.


He was a proud grandfather to Edward Hayes and Kaitlyn Hayes, and great-grandfather to Cierra Marie Hayes.


Guy proudly served in the United States Navy before beginning a distinguished career at the Lakehurst Naval Air Warfare Center, where he dedicated more than 30 years of service.


A man of deep faith, Guy served as a Deacon at St. Barnabas Church beginning in 2005 and was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus. Through his ministry and community involvement, he touched many lives with his compassion and commitment to service.


He will be remembered for his quiet strength, steadfast faith, and unwavering devotion to his family.


A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be offered on Monday August 10th, 2026 from 5:00-7:00pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ. Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday August 11th, 2026 at 11:00am at St. Barnabas Church, 33 Woodland Rd., Bayville, NJ, followed by an Interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd., Wrightstown, NJ 08562 with Military Honors.
