Deborah L. Schaeffer- Huggan, 64, of Beachwood, passed away on August 23, 2022. Born in Irvington, NJ, she lived many years in Union before finally settling in Beachwood. She was employed as a Court Clerk for the State of New Jersey for 25 years. Deborah was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother and is noted in many circles to be Ms. Congeniality. She was an avid gardener who spent countless hours to ensure growth and beauty. Making people laugh and smile was a gift she bestowed. She had a sense of humor that attracted many and would light up a room. She put time and effort into everyone and everything she loved. A woman constantly on the move and lived for fun and adventure. She enjoyed vacationing with family, traveling to distant places, going to the beach, and concerts. She lived life to the fullest and had no regrets. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she cherished every moment with them.
Deborah is predeceased by her husband Thomas W. Huggan and by her parents Rosemary and Joseph Schaeffer. Surviving are her 3 daughters Kristin Ruff and her husband Christopher, Jennifer Medini and her husband Rudy, and Allison Bradley and her husband Dylan; her 4 grandchildren Thomas, James, Lucas, and Rosemary; her brother Joseph J. Schaeffer Jr. and his fiancé Janice Granta; and her loyal best friend Marleen Rivera.
A viewing will be held on Monday, August 29, 2022 from 4pm – 7pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd. Bayville, NJ 08721. Funeral will be Tuesday, Aug. 30th beginning at 9:30am in the funeral home before leaving to celebrate an 11am Funeral Mass at St. Barnabas Church in Bayville.
