David P Mello, Jr.

David Peter Mello, Jr., 56, of Bayville, died on June 9, 2023, from a motor vehicle accident driving his truck on the Garden State Parkway while on his way home from work. Dave was a resident of Bayville and was employed for the past 23 years with the Berkeley Township Public Works Department. He was a graduate of Central Regional High School. He expressed a passion for the guitar when he was 12 and made beautiful music. Dave was a kind, gentle and peaceful man. Always willing to help and doing many good deeds as he followed his faith. We will miss him more than words can say. Dave was predeceased recently by his father, David Mello, Sr., by his sisters Cathy and Brenda.

Surviving is his mother Caroline Marra Mello, his two sisters, Paula DeCarlo and Carolann Mello and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial Funeral Mass in memory of Dave will be offered at 11am in St. Barnabas Church, 33 Woodland Road, Bayville NJ 08721, on August 26, 2023. Mastapeter Memorial Home, Bayville is in charge of arrangements.
