Daniel James Eagen

Daniel James Eagen, 72, of Bayville, born August 29, 1950, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 29, 2022. Daniel was the most loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. He moved to Bayville in 1987 to raise his family and worked as a letter carrier for the Brick Post Office for 37 years before retiring. Above all, Daniel adored his family and they meant everything to him.

Surviving is his beautiful wife of 42 years, Joanne Eagen; his three children, Jessica Gokcen and her husband Levent, JD Eagen and his partner Lauren Douglas, and Samantha Wilusz and her husband John; four grandchildren, Mete and Leyla Gokcen and Greyson and Hudson Eagen. He is predeceased by his mother Ellen Poor and his father James Eagen. 
Also surviving are his siblings Katherine Bieth, Margaret Masters, Thomas Eagen, and Sharon Cucos.

Viewing will be held Wednesday January 4th at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd, Bayville, NJ 08721 from 4-7pm. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday January 5th, 11am at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 33 Woodland Rd, Bayville, NJ followed by Graveside service at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 56 Cedar Grove Rd, Toms River, NJ.
