Christopher J Kiernan

Christopher J. Kiernan, 49, passed away peacefully on ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at home surrounded by family.  Family and friends are invited to the visitation on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 4pm.to 7pm, including a funeral prayer service being held at 5pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ 08721 (732)269-3100 (www.mastapetermemorialhome.com).

Christopher was a life-long resident of Bayville, NJ.  He graduated from Central Regional High School and later received his Bachelor’s Degree from Stockton University.  During his summers in high school and college, his craft of comedic entertainment was fully demonstrated as a boardwalk caller for Playboy Stores in Seaside.  Upon graduation from Stockton, he later worked in sales for Sears in Toms River, NJ.  It was difficult to go anywhere around the Toms River area where Chris would not be recognized as the “tool guy”.  He and his wife Nancy met while he was attending college and recently celebrated 23 years of marriage.  There was never a day that went by that Chris didn’t brag about his two beautiful children, bringing him the most joy.  Chris always showed courage in facing all his life's challenges with a smile, positive attitude, and strength like no other.  He had a sense of humor that lit up any room and most importantly Chris never took life too seriously.

He is survived by his wife and children, Nancy Kiernan, Mathew (12) and Brandon (10), his mother, Connie Kiernan, his dad and step-mother, Brian and Barbara Kiernan, his sister and family, Denise, Lance and daughter Maggie Cranmer, his Aunt, Kathleen Egan, his cousin Thomas Glavin and wife Jennie, his cousin and family, Anne, Justin, son Sean, and daughter Emma Wagstaff, his mother in-law June Moran, his brother-in-law and wife, Bill and Jeanne Zack, and his many other relatives and friends.
