Chere A Cambra

Chere' Ann (Nestor) Cambra, born August 25, 1967, passed away after many years of hardship and personal struggles, finally finding the peace that had long eluded her.

She is predeceased by her father Harry Nestor. Surviving are her children Melissa (Cambra) Ramos (and her husband, Guillermo Ramos), Teresa Cambra Adams (and her husband, Kyle Adams), John Cambra Jr., and Michael Cambra, and her grandchildren Elina Ramos, Santino Ramos, Willow Adams, Juniper Adams, and Leif Adams, who brought sunshine and happiness into her life. Though her illness often kept her away, when she was present she made those moments count—reading with her grandchildren, playing games, teaching them craft projects, sewing and cooking, and giving them plenty of hugs and “muggle muggles.” Her time with them, though not always frequent, was meaningful and filled with warmth.

She is also survived by her former spouse John Cambra, her mother Magdalen (Dimiduk) Nestor, and her siblings Evelyn (Nestor) Bohr, Bill Nestor, and Danielle (Nestor) Purificato.

Chere found joy in simple pleasures. She enjoyed playing cards, Scrabble, and Yahtzee, spending time in the garden, watching butterflies and hummingbirds, and looking up at the moon and constellations. She also enjoyed coffee, peanut M&M’s, and a good hollandaise sauce.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to a charity of your choice that supports healing and recovery. 

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 from 12:00-2:00pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ, followed by a Burial at Bayville Cemetery, 526 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ.
