Cecile A. Russo

CECILE RUSSO, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2024, at the age of 86. Born on November 14, 1937, in the Bronx, New York, CECILE was the cherished only child of her late parents, Joseph and Louise (Siciliano) Russo. Her life was a testament to the strength and warmth of her Italian-American heritage, which she embraced with pride and joy.
CECILE was raised on the vibrant streets of Manhattan's East Side. She held precious memories of accompanying her father to cheer on the New York Mets at Shea Stadium, a pastime that fostered a lifelong love for the game. 
Her greatest achievements were her three daughters, Debbie, Carol & Nicole. Her two grandchildren, Jessica and Dylan.
She is survived by her devoted daughters, Deborah Harvey and her husband Joseph, Carol LaBianca and her husband Neil Langenbach, and Nicole Moyle. 
CECILE was a loving grandmother to Jessica Harvey and Dylan Sosa. Her enduring relationship with Scott Lombardi spanned over forty years, and she considered him her closest companion and friend.
CECILE will be fondly remembered by her extended family, including her many cousins from the Russo, Vitarello, and Cosentino families, as well as her goddaughter, Diane (LaBianca) Rafael. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Russo Jr. and Louise Russo (Siciliano). Her grandparents, Giuseppe Russo Sr., Cecilia Isoldi from Salerno, Italy and Ralph Siciliano, Concetta Marino from New York.
Cecile's kindness, wisdom, and infectious smile will be missed by all who knew her.
The family will hold a traditional Celebration of Life service, the details of which will be announced at a later date. CECILE's final arrangements are being handled by Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ 08721.
CECILE RUSSO will be laid to rest with the grace and dignity that she carried throughout her life. Her legacy of love and family will continue to inspire those she has left behind.
