Carmin A. Vitale, 85, of Bayville, NJ, passed away on December 4, 2025. Born in East Rutherford, NJ and formerly of Oakland and Kearny, Carmin lived a life defined by integrity and dedication — to his family, his country, his work, and his community.
Carmin served in the United States Navy and Naval Reserve from 1959 to 1964, an experience that shaped his lifelong commitment to service. He went on to enjoy a successful 35-year career with IBEW Local 164, working as an Electrician, Foreman, and General Foreman for several electrical contractors throughout his career.
His passion for community service continued long after his professional work. For nearly 20 years, Carmin served as President of the Ocean County Hazmat Team and BERT Station 85, where he provided steady leadership, dependable guidance, and unwavering dedication. He was also a devoted New York Giants fan and was proud to witness four Super Bowl victories during his lifetime.
Carmin was preceded in death by his parents, Carmin Joseph and Florence Vitale, and his sister, June DePalma. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; his son, Carmin Jr., and daughter-in-law, Debra; and his cherished granddaughter, Olivia.
Carmin will be remembered for his leadership, loyalty, and the deep love he had for his family and community.
