Brian Price Obituary

Brian D. Price, 81 of Lanoka Harbor, NJ passed away suddenly but peacefully at home Sunday March 8, 2026. Brian was born in Paterson, NJ and was raised in East Paterson (Elmwood Park) and Bayville (Glen Cove), NJ. He met Marie Gambal, the love of his life, in 1964 and they married in 1967. Their greatest achievement was raising a family of four children, Darren (Darlene) Price, Sean (Meredith) Price, Jason and Meghan (Michael) Caputo. Grandchildren Ryan, Michael, Keirra, Cullan, Isla, Strummer, Asher, Jocelyn, Gambal and their mother Kerensa. His grandchildren brought him the most joy and happiness. For Brian, family was everything.

While in his teens, Brian earned his amateur radio license (WA2FAX) which began a lifelong enthusiasm for the hobby. Additionally, Brian was proud of his years long membership in Ocean County’s JSARS Amateur Radio Club.

Brian spent many fun-filled family days boating and fishing aboard the ‘Daydreamer’ on Barnegat Bay. He also enjoyed woodworking in his shop and helping his children with many home projects of their own.

He is well known for his legendary cowboy eggs and scrapple breakfasts. But more importantly, no one could resist his bourbon old fashions and martinis. Many a friend had a drink and a good laugh at “Brian’s Bar”. He was a great story and joke teller with a passion for history.

Brian earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Baltimore. In the beginning of his career, he was employed with Thermo Electric, Hewit-Robins, Indiana General, Siemens and ultimately retiring from Epcos in 2006.

Over the years, Brian and Marie enjoyed traveling. A cross country tour of the U.S and numerous international trips including Germany, Ireland, Spain, France, the Azores, Italy, Greece and Turkey were particular highlights. They also loved to cruise with friends and family, visiting Alaska, Bermuda, many Caribbean islands and a Transatlantic voyage.

Brian was predeceased by his parents Harry and Anne; brothers James, H. Scott and Robert, and grandson Daniel

Brian is survived by his wife Marie of 58 years, his children and grandchildren, along with sister-in-law Patricia Price; cherished nieces and nephews Jammie, James jr, Suzanne, Patrick, Corinne (God Daughter), Lauren and Timothy; many great-grand nieces, nephews and cousins. He loved you all immensely.
