Antonio Mantineo Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Antonio Mantineo, who left this world peacefully on March 25th at the age of 80.

Born in Mendoza, Argentina, Antonio carried the warmth, strength, and deep-rooted values of his homeland throughout his life. He later made his home in Bayville, New Jersey, where he lived for 45 years, building a life grounded in love, hard work, and devotion to family.

Antonio was a dedicated transmission mechanic for most of his adult life, a craft he took great pride in. His strong work ethic and steady hands were only matched by his generous heart and unwavering commitment to those he loved.

Above all, Antonio was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a proud grandfather. His family was his greatest joy and his proudest accomplishment. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, his kindness, and the deep love he gave so freely. He also had a wonderful sense of humor that brought smiles to those around him, often lightening even the heaviest moments. Antonio had a way of making people feel at ease, and he was surrounded by many who loved him deeply and will carry his memory forward.

Antonio is predeceased by his beloved parents, Dolores and Jose, and his brothers Aldo, Daniel, and Carlos, all of whom he held close in his heart throughout his life.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Juana Elena, his daughter Ileana Penn, his son-in-law Shawn Penn, and his two cherished granddaughters, who will forever carry his love and legacy in their hearts. Though their hearts are broken, they find comfort in the countless memories, lessons, and love he leaves behind.

Family and friends are invited to honor Antonio’s life at a viewing on April 6th from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd, Bayville, NJ 08721.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Barnabas Church, 33 Woodland Road, Bayville, NJ 08721.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Toms River.

Antonio’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and dedication. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the family he adored and the lives he touched so deeply.

He will be forever missed and forever loved.
