Anthony F. Onorato, 94, of Bayville, died peacefully on October 4, 2023. Born and raised in Montclair, he and his wife Pam, lived and raised their family of 5 children in Bloomfield then they moved to Bayville in 1994 to spend their retirement years at Sonata Bay. Tony, as known by most, was a computer engineer for 35+ years for Unisys (formerly Sperry Rand), an innovator in the computer industry. He also proudly served his country in the US Army Reserves. He enjoyed being a little league coach and watching sports of any kind. Tony loved working with his hands and was, at the same time, artistic and mechanical. But his true passion in life was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the light of his life in the later years.
He was predeceased by his devoted wife of 60 years, Pamela, and by his beloved, eldest daughter Mary Onorato. Surviving are his other four loving children; Dennis Onorato, Robert Onorato and his husband Rick, Patricia Rose and her husband George and Michele Connell and her husband Tim; seven grandchildren, Lauren Winter and her husband Austin, Kimberly Laracy and her husband Brendan, Matthew Onorato, Nicholas Connell, Courtney Connell, Karly Connell and Max Connell; and his three great grandchildren, Logan, Reese and Zachary.
Visiting hours will be offered on Tuesday, October 10th, from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville.
