Theresa Anne Heaney (née Toal; aka Lee)
Theresa “Teri” Anne Heaney passed away in Bayville, NJ on August 25, 2020 at the age of 57.
Teri was born in Newark, NJ on September 7, 1962. She grew up in West Orange and Maplewood, NJ where she attended Our Lady of Lourdes School (West Orange) and Our Lady of Sorrows School (South Orange). In 1980, she graduated from the Academy of St. Elizabeth in Convent Station. After graduation, Teri worked for Carteret Savings for many years and became a successful branch manager. She married Michael Lee in 1985 and had three children: Christopher, Matthew, and Megan. She moved to Bayville, NJ with her three children and worked as a branch manager for Ocean First Bank.
Teri was always interested in medicine and nursing. She trained as a Bayville First Aid Squad Volunteer and eventually became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) working at Tallwoods Care Center in Bayville. It was at Tallwoods Care Center where she met her future husband -- the love of her life -- Richard “Rick” Heaney, and they were married in 2010.
Always interested in crafts including baking, crocheting, knitting, sewing, etc., Teri would always be working on a number of crafting projects for family members and friends. She was also extremely proud of her Irish and Polish heritage and traveled frequently over the years to Ireland visiting the ever-increasing number of relatives there.
Teri is predeceased by her father, Peter James Toal, Sr.
Teri is survived by her loving husband of ten years, Richard Heaney, and her children Christopher Sean Lee, Matthew Conor Lee, and Megan Elizabeth Lee. Teri is also survived by her mother, Jadwiga Krucinska Toal, her brothers, Peter Toal, Timothy Toal, Stephen Toal, Michael Toal, Richard Toal, their spouses, and children.

Viewing will be held on Friday, August 28, 2020 from 2pm – 4pm & 7pm – 9pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd (RT.9) Bayville, NJ 08721. Funeral will be Saturday, August 29th at 8:30 am in the funeral home before celebrating a 9:30am Funeral Mass at St. Barnabas Church in Bayville.
