Michael Joseph D’Esposito Sr., 74, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Cousin passed away suddenly Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at home. Born in New York City to parents Salvatore Michael D’Esposito and Theresa Molnar. Michael met his adoring wife Margaret Ann D’Esposito (nee Coletta) in Keansburg, New Jersey in 1961. Married 53 years, they shared a lifetime of love, laughter, tears, weddings, and births.

Michael started working for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority as a toll collector in 1974. Michael worked his way to Plaza Supervisor at interchange 13A, where he retired in 2002. He enjoyed vacations with his family and friends, coaching Lakewood Little League Baseball, spending the afternoons at Freehold Racetrack, weekends in Atlantic City and later in life spending most of his time with his grandchildren.

With all the things Michael loved, above all was the love he had for his wife. Inseparable for 59 years they shared a love like no other. They were each other’s best friend and soulmate.

Michael is survived by his wife Margaret Ann Coletta D’Esposito, of Beachwood, NJ, his two sons Michael Jr. and Gerard and his daughter in laws Kaliza and Jessica, his five grandchildren Dominic, Gabriella, Isabella, Mya and Lorenzo, His sister Lynn, and his brother John. He is predeceased by his youngest brother Vincent.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Mastapeter Memorial Home in Bayville. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 11:00am at St. Barnabas Church, 33 Woodland Rd. Bayville, NJ 08721.

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask you to donate to the International Chronic Myeloid Leukemia Foundation at in honor and memory of Michael.
