Obituary

Gordon H. Rhinesmith, 81, of Beachwood, died peacefully on March 3, 2020 with his loving family at his bedside. Born in Paterson and raised in Midland Park and lived in Wayne before moving to Beachwood 30 years ago. Mr. Rhinesmith was employed over 33 years as a Technician for Camm Research in Wayne before retiring. Gordon was an active communicant of St. Barnabas Church where he was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society and Morning Adoration Group. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He was an avid Dodgers and Kansas City Chief fan. Mr. Rhinesmith was predeceased by his daughter CaroleAnne, his 2 sons, Gordy and Michael, his 2 grandsons, Kyle and John Peters and his daughter-in-law Gale Miller.

Surviving are, his devoted wife of 65 years Patricia; 3 sons, David and his wife Lucy, Gary and his wife Judi and Charles; his daughter-in-law Patti Rhinesmith; 5 grandchildren, Deana, Steven, Deborah, Megan and Donald and 5 great grandchildren, Stella, Nico, Matthew, Jonah and Aiden.

Visiting hours will be Monday, Mar. 9th, from 5pm to 8pm at the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. Funeral Tuesday, 10am at the funeral home before celebrating an 11:30am Funeral Mass at St. Barnabas Church, Bayville. Burial will follow to New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gordon’s memory to: St. Vincent DePaul Society, 33 Woodland Rd., Bayville 08721, would be appreciated.
