Dorothy E. Maglione (October 5, 1932 - April 13, 2020)

It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy E. Maglione, announce her passing on Monday, April 13, 2020, at the age of 87 years, after a very long and valiant struggle with COPD and Congestive Heart Failure. Dorothy was born and raised in Jersey City. She and her husband retired to Ocean Gate in the early 1990’s.

Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of over 63 years, Patrick and daughter, Christine and her husband Lance; and son Mark and his wife Valerie. She will be fondly remembered by her three grandchildren Andrew and his wife Allison, Jason and Michael; and two great grandchildren; and her nieces, nephew and great nieces. Dorothy was predeceased by their daughter Patricia Maglione (1964); her sister Joan Althouse; her brother-in-law Henry Althouse; and her parents Pierre Loranger & Jane (Niedzielska) Loranger. Dorothy loved her family and friends and will be missed by all.

Unfortunately, due to the need for social distancing there will be no viewing or services. The family will plan a gathering at a future date when social distancing is no longer necessary. The family requests No flowers or gift baskets be sent. Funeral services are private with burial in the family plot at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., in Bayville, is in charge of arrangements.
