Obituary

On June 23, 2020, Arthur Conrad, a man of kindness and unwavering loyalty, born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and resided in Annandale, Clark and Waretown, New Jersey, left this world and entered the kingdom of his Lord. On his last day, Arthur visited multiple family members as he routinely did. As he retired for the evening at his residence, the Lord gently called him home. “Uncle Arty” would take a singular moment with a person and never relinquish the love established at that moment, never to be faded as time went on in his life. His entire family and friends are joyfully thankful for having this experience with him. Relentless in his inherent quest to honor and be resourceful, he graduated from Thomas Edison Vocation High School In Elizabeth, New Jersey, and then serving in the US Army. Arthur’s professional career led him to becoming the CEO and proprietor of the Universal Tool and Machine company in Hillside NJ.

Arthur was predeceased by his dearest brother Donald Conrad and loving sisters, Patricia Harms and Shirley Migliore. Surviving are his nephew Barry Migliore and his wife Katie, and niece Cindy Gorski and husband Steve. Also surviving are his many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a grand-niece.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visit on Monday, June 29th, at Mastapeter Memorial Home 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ, 08721 from 11-1 pm.

I read about Arthur's death in the Star Ledger. I am so sorry for your loss. Death of a loved one is very distressing even if the person is elderly or sick. The Bible teaches us that death was not part of God's original plan. He wanted man to live forever, in perfect health, on a paradise earth. Man disobeyed God and brought about sin and death to the human race. God's plan will still be realized because nothing can stop his purpose and he does not lie. Isaiah 55:11 states, "So my word that goes out of my mouth will be. It will not return to me without results, but it will certainly accomplish whatever is my delight. It will have sure success in what I send it to do." The Bible talks about a resurrection of those who have died. (Acts 24:15, John 5:28, 29) The Bible account in John 11:1-44 details a resurrection Jesus performed and which gives us the certainty that the resurrection of our loved ones will occur. The word resurrection in the Bible literally means "a standing up again" and "revival of the dead". The provision for resurrection of the dead is a magnificent expression of God's undeserved kindness. It displays his wisdom and power and is a means by which his original purpose regarding the earth and humans will be carried out. There is such a wealth of hope and knowledge found in the pages of the Bible. Sincerely, Paula
MF

Uncle Arty, through the way he treated Nan (his sister Shirley), taught me by example what it means to be a brother. I strive every day to treat my sister with the love and caring that Arty showed Shirley. I hope to live up to the standard you have set. Thank you, Uncle Arty, for all the love and kindness you shared.
