Obituary

Albert J. Furfaro, 88, of Brick, died suddenly on February 29, 2020. Born in Elizabeth, he lived and raised his family in Lincroft. He moved to Brick recently before living over 18 years in Florida. Mr. Furfaro was a steel fitter with Thomas and Betts Corporation in Elizabeth for 30 years. In his retirement he founded a trucking business operating as American Eagle Trucking Company in Newark. Al proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War where he was Honorably Discharged as Sergeant with recognition of “Honorable Service”. He was an avid reader, loved landscaping and he painted and sculptured. He was very creative. Al also enjoyed singing and had recorded a record. He was predeceased by his wife Dolores in 2008 and by his son Albert, Jr. in 2004.

Surviving are his two loving daughters, Tina Nicotra and her husband Anthony and Donna Agrapides, four cherished grandchildren, who will dearly miss their “Poppy”, Loreal Furfaro, Alexandra Nicotra, Spiro Agrapides and Jillian Nicotra, and one beloved great grandson Anthony Albert Nicotra.

A Memorial Mass for family and close friends will be held Friday, March 6, 2020 at St. Denis Church, 90 Union Ave, Manasquan, NJ 08736. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Mastapeter Memorial Home, Bayville. For expressions of condolences, donations may be made in Albert’s memory to: American Cancer (cancer.org), would be appreciated.
